Author Coach
Have an awesome book idea that you’d like to get out of your head and printed into an actual book?
Most people have a job or family or other aspects of life that need our time and attention; and writing a book in our “spare time” just isn’t happening. We all have lives outside of writing, and those other things just keep pushing that book we want to write further and further down the list of other priorities.
Maybe you’ve grown frustrated with the process and need some assistance developing concepts or structure for your book. Or maybe you have no idea where to start and you have some questions about the first steps and what it takes to become published.
Every writer faces difficulties when writing—it’s hard work! But you don’t have to struggle and deal with it all alone.
Perhaps you could benefit from a writing coach. The first 30 minutes are FREE!

What is a writing coach?
A writing coach is a guide or a personal trainer for writing. As your writing coach I can help make the process easier, more fun, and less of a solo project filled with plenty of unexpected pitfalls. Especially if you’re just starting as a writer, sometimes you don’t know what you don’t know, until you learn it the hard way.
As a self-published author and entrepreneur, I specialize in helping writers who have decided to write a story or a book for the first time. I help them manage their expectations and priorities when it comes to what it takes to get through a first draft, working through editing—which can be daunting--and getting your brain baby out of your head and into a book for the world.
My focus is on time management and strategizing to get your book written and complete. Together we organize your project, determine a schedule, and select a completion date as a goal. To stick to your completion date, we set up a time table for your book with reasonable, workable goals and work the plan. Even when you can make time, if you don’t know how to show up and write, you won’t get much done no matter how much time you have.
Being an author, I’ve experienced what it’s like at each step of the process: from having the idea of writing a book to actually having the physical copy in your hand and sharing it with your readers. Knowing why you want to write, who you want to write for, and what effect you want to have on your readers is part of being a good writer. Being able to have the end in mind while you’re still writing is important and can help shape your writing and book for the better.
Working with a creative writing coach like myself can also help you get past writer’s blocks, develop your concepts, and give you specific feedback on your outlines and various drafts. I’m not the one who will necessarily edit your work, although I will be able to teach you the skills you need to succeed at writing your book.
As a writer, you may only need to consult with me as a writing coach for just a few hours in all. But at any stage in the writing process, even a few hours can benefit you as an author and/or new entrepreneur and can bring you much closer to completing your project and publishing your book. Once you complete your rewrites, I refer you to an editor who has relationships with agents for final edits. And you’re that much closer to print.
